Football journalist Joe Donnohue has claimed that the injury to Leeds United man Stuart Dallas may hopefully not be all bad news.

This past weekend was pretty disastrous for Marcelo Bielsa’s men. Indeed, the Whites were humbled 3-0 away from home by Everton in a dismal display. On top of that, Dallas had to come off after just nine minutes after picking up an injury early on in the game.

Will Stuart Dallas get back to his best this season for Leeds?

No

Speaking after the match on a LeedsLive Facebook stream, Donnohue did at least make a positive claim over the fitness status of the Northern Ireland international.

He said: “Dallas pulled up and was kind of in a collision, wasn’t he, with [Alex] Iwobi.

“It’s not all bad news. I mean, Marcelo Bielsa couldn’t provide a report or a diagnostic on Dallas, but at full time he was walking unaided on the pitch.

“It’s not like he was on crutches or he had like ice on it or anything like that.”

TIF Thoughts on Stuart Dallas and Leeds…

The result means Leeds are now only one point above Everton in the Premier League table – despite having played one more game than their weekend opponents – and sit just six points above the relegation zone.

With that in mind, fans will likely be hoping Dallas can be fit and ready to feature once more as soon as possible. After all, he has been a mainstay in the team this season, playing in every single one of the club’s 23 league games up to this point.

Judging from Donnohue’s information, it does seem as though the injury isn’t too bad. With a big game against Manchester United coming up on Sunday, the 30-year-old would certainly face a rush to regain fitness if he was considered a doubt for the clash.
