Everton winger Alex Iwobi has provided fans with an encouraging message in his latest Instagram post amid the Toffees’ struggles.

The 25-year-old has had a difficult season in front of goal, having only been able to find the back of the net on one occasion in the Premier League.

Do you think Everton will avoid the drop?

Yes

No

No

Iwobi has played 15 times in the English top flight this season having missed a number of games last month due to international duty.

However, despite the recent change of management, the Toffees find themselves sitting dangerously close to the bottom three with just 15 games remaining until the end of the campaign.

And amid their struggles, the Nigerian winger took to his Instagram story to provide fans with a positive message ahead of their game on the weekend against Manchester City.

The Everton ace posted a photo on Thursday afternoon of himself from a training session to his story with the caption: “Tunnel vision.”

Tunnel vision is exactly what the Toffees will need as Premier League games run out and the gap to the drop zone narrows, with 18th-placed Burnley now just two points adrift in the table.

But Frank Lampard’s side have a difficult run of fixtures to come with the current top eight teams in the table still all to play as well as battles against some of their relegation rivals.

Iwobi’s post may suggest the level of focus he is heading into the next fixture with, despite the fact that opportunities and good performances have evidently been hard to come by this term.

And form certainly is not in the favour of Lampard’s side as they will arrive at their game this weekend against Manchester City with the second-worst form in the league – only worsened by Brentford.

There are now just a handful of sides who have never been relegated from the Premier League in its history and the Toffees remain one of them, however, they will need to transform their recent form to maintain that record.
