Newcastle United could make a late push for the French winger Ousmane Dembele today, with the Barcelona ace still the subject of much speculation.
That is according to the football journalist Ryan Taylor, who was speaking on his latest YouTube video to discuss any potential Deadline Day deals.

Dembele was reportedly set for a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but a deal for the Frenchman to return to his motherland fell through with hours remaining until the deadline.
Responding to a question about any late Newcastle deals in this window, Taylor felt the Toon should not be ruled out of the running, with Barcelona believed to still be searching to find the 24-year-old a new club:
“Ousmane Dembele – keep an eye on him. The reason being: Barca want to sell this month; they want to get him gone before [Monday’s] deadline because he’s yet to sign a new contract, negotiations have just [had] absolutely no progress between the two parties and it looks like Dembele is going to leave now.”

It would certainly be a statement signing for the Toon with just hours remaining until the window shuts for the remainder of the season given the calibre of player Dembele is.
Across his stints at Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona, the winger has been able to find the back of the net 42 times and provide 45 assists (via Transfermarkt).
The main concern would be over the winger’s ability to remain fit given that his time in La Liga has been marred by a horrendous injury record.
However, a front three of Callum Wilson, Allan Saint-Maximin and Dembele would certainly be a mouthwatering proposition for Eddie Howe as the club look to climb up the league.
