Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has taken to Instagram to provide fans with an encouraging injury update.

The South Korean winger has been out of action since the beginning of the month having sustained a muscle strain in Spurs’ Carabao Cup clash at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

Early updates from Antonio Conte suggested the 29-year-old would be out until early February due to the issue and the player may have provided some encouragement that he is on track to meet that expectation.

Son took to Instagram on Friday to post a photo of him in his boots ready for training with the caption: “Soon” as well as a thumbs up and football emoji.

Spurs return to action next weekend with an FA Cup clash at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on 5th February, which could be a potential opportunity for Son to ease his way back into Conte’s side.

The South Korean leads the way in front of goal in the Premier League this season for Spurs, with eight goals in his 17 appearances (via Transfermarkt).

And with a spot in the top four still very much to play for, this update from the winger will come as good news to Spurs fans amid their struggles in the January transfer window.
