Leeds United fans have been reacting to comments from Phil Hay regarding their business in the January transfer window.
Leeds certainly haven’t been quiet over the past month, as they have found themselves linked with a number of players, which is no surprise given the issues they have had with squad size during the season and their potentially perilous position when it comes to the relegation zone in the Premier League.
However, for all the reports linking them with various players, the only person to come through the door at Thorp Arch was Mateo Joseph Fernandez, however, he’s going to be primarily plying his trade in the U23 side.
Taking to Twitter, Hay revealed what the state of play was when it came to Leeds and their transfers.
He wrote: “Transfer situation is essentially this – no third offer for Aaronson and Salzburg unwilling to sell in this window. Club will wait until the summer for him and won’t bid for another centre mid now.
“If Summerville asks to leave and goes, a replacement needed.”
This news created quite the stir on social media when Leeds fans saw it, with many left fuming at how they’ve handled things so far:
“Absolute joke from the board!”
Are you frustrated with the Leeds board?
Yes
No
There’s still a few days to go before the window closes, so there’s still some time for things to change. So let’s wait and see what happens at Elland Road and if there are any further ins and outs.
