A number of Celtic fans have been left rather disappointed after hearing that their club is unlikely to make any new signings on the final day of the transfer window.

With less than 24 hours left on the clock before the winter market slams shut, fans across the footballing world are still hoping their clubs will make some last-minute moves for exciting new players.

However, one club that seems to have made all their signings already is Celtic. Indeed, according to Sky Sports journalist Anthony Joseph, the Bhoys are probably not going to see any more incomings.

In a tweet shared online, the football writer said: “In terms of Celtic, I’ve been told not to expect incomings, unless someone becomes available who’s too good to miss out on. Could see some fringe/younger players heading out – more likely on loan.”

After posting his information to social media, it seemed that many supporters were not too happy with the latest news.

Here’s what these Celtic fans said…

“Deadline day is usually pretty intense…but we’ve done our business early and so it doesn’t have the same feel about it this time…I feel cheated”

“Cheers Tony deadline day ruined.”

“That doesn`t sound like a big day.”
“Huh usual for Celtic.”

“With what’s at stake this season then I think @CelticFC
should bring in a couple even if it’s players on loan.”
“Celtic got the business done early now were all gonny be moaning we’ve nothing to do on deadline day.”

Judging from the reaction of the fans, they were probably hoping for a little more excitement on Deadline Day.

However, at least they can relax in knowing they’ve already got a number of key new players in the door. Indeed, the likes of Matt O’Riley, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi, Johnny Kenny and Daizen Maeda have all signed for the Scottish club this winter.

With that in mind, perhaps the Celtic fans should just be grateful they don’t have to panic about their club failing to do any business at all this January.
