A large number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the latest development to surface on their new signing, Daizen Maeda.
The Bhoys have been hit with another blow on top of the Tom Rogic call up news with Maeda being called up for the latest Japan squad ahead of their upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
Have you been impressed with Daizen Maeda so far?
Yes
No
News of the striker’s call up will mean the 24-year-old will be unable to feature in their game against Hearts and the derby clash at Parkhead.
With Ange Postecoglou’s side challenging their city rivals at the top end of the Scottish Premiership table, these fans were clearly disappointed to hear of Maeda’s absence.
What did these Celtic fans have to say?
“Pain”
Although Maeda was called up, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi and Kyogo Furuhashi were not, allowing both to be available for selection – albeit if Kyogo returns in time from his injury issue.
However, having scored on his debut for the Bhoys, it is apparent to see the disappointment of these fans that they will be without their 24-year-old ace.
