ExWHUemployee has claimed that West Ham United duo Mipo Odubeko and Conor Coventry will be loaned out again this January.

At the start of the season, both players were sent out to gain experience in the Championship.

Odubeko went to Huddersfield Town but was recalled at the start of the month after making just six substitute appearances in total.

Similarly, Coventry was sent to Peterborough United where he also had a limited impact, making only four starts for the Posh before returning to his parent club.

While speaking on The West Ham Way podcast, Ex revealed that he believes ‘talks have already started’ for both players to go out on loan to a new club. He also added that it’s unlikely that either player will make an appearance for the Hammers before they depart.

He said: “I think talks have already started for them to go on loan this January. They won’t play for West Ham.

“Certainly, Coventry won’t, I don’t think, because he’s going to have another loan. And if you play for West Ham, then he would have played for two clubs in one season and you’re not allowed to do three clubs in one season, so he wouldn’t, therefore, be able to go and loan again.”

Still only just 19 years of age, Odubeko likely would have been glad to have got some Championship experience under his belt. Although, he may have hoped to have registered more than the 107 minutes he managed at Huddersfield.

It’s more or less the same story for Coventry, who fared a little better in his loan, claiming 428 minutes, while he also has a past spell with Lincoln City under his belt – though he is now 21.

Even so, with both still at the formative stages of their careers, and with no path apparently leading directly to the West Ham senior team at the moment, it does feel as if another loan move is best for each individual.
