Kaveh Solhekol has been speaking on Sky Sports’ The Transfer Show about Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Mohamed-Ali Cho.

Tottenham have gone through the first half of this season with just one recognised first-team striker in Harry Kane, but Antonio Conte could finally have a backup at Spurs, with Sky Sports reporting that a bid has been made for Mohamed-Ali Cho.

Will Spurs make the top four?

Yes!

No!

No!

The young striker is currently plying his trade out in Ligue 1 with Angers, however, he would not be an unknown player to English football, as he was once part of Everton’s youth system – and for a reported fee of just £16.8 million, it could be a fairly low-risk move for Spurs.

Solhekol has delivered his latest information on the situation concerning Spurs and Mohamed-Ali Cho.

“This is a young player called Mohamed-Ali Cho, who plays as a forward for the French club Angers. He’s 18 years old, I’ve been told that Spurs have been offered the chance to sign him, and one source has told us this afternoon that Spurs have actually made an offer for the player.

“He’s a very highly rated young French forward, he’s broken into the France Under-21 side, he’s played five times for them. I think he spent quite a lot of time at Everton in their youth system.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ pursuit of Mohamed-Ali Cho.

At just 18 years old, Cho would almost certainly not arrive looking to dislodge Harry Kane immediately, but having someone who’s started consistent league games this season to provide competition, or just give Kane some rest in the latter stages of games could help Spurs keep their main man fit and healthy.

Cho has not necessarily been prolific this season for Angers with just two goals in 19 appearances, however, to be seen as good enough to start at such a young age should point towards him having a big future and huge potential going forward.
