A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious on Twitter with Giovani Lo Celso.

The Argentine midfielder was previously left out of the latest Tottenham Hotspur matchday squad, with the Evening Standard claiming that Lo Celso is not very well-liked at Spurs, but instead of potentially staying with the club and trying his best to change Antonio Conte’s opinion of him, he’s jetted off for international duty, sharing a post on Instagram.

Has Lo Celso flopped at Spurs?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Conte has a winter break to work with his squad and hopefully some new recruits before making a final push for the top four, however, he will be doing this without Lo Celso, and Spurs fans aren’t happy about this given the problems there have been with their Argentine players this season.

A lot of Spurs fans have slammed Lo Celso on Twitter.

What have these Tottenham fans been saying?

“Surprised he isn’t injured already”

@simplylovely33

“About 10 days away from being injured again.”

@SpursDaveDC

“our situation with him is tragic tbh £55m and completed 90mins 6/7 times in 3 years.”

@otheranthony

“a recurring episode of playing for the national team way more than the one paying him. it’s over for him”

@trivendula

“He can stay there, he plays and is available more for nation team anyway. Bye bye lo celso”

@PMcEastAngliaUK

“Don’t bother coming back!!!”

@Hinds1Andy

“This guy plays more for his national team than spurs. It’s actually mental”

@FuzzyWazzy_

“Honestly don’t know how he does it blokes garbage but he gets called up”

@Shadow210513

Guy has been utterly hopeless for us. Taken us for a ride. Comfortable life at Spurs. Top facilities, 5 star hotel on site. The guy is always injured, made of glass and inconsistent. Always available for Argentina though. It was him or Fernandes. Another masterstroke Spurs”

Lo Celso has certainly failed to impress during his time at Spurs, with just one goal and three assists in the league since his £28 million move from Real Betis.

And while no player should reject an international call-up if they actually want to represent their country, it may have changed a lot of fans’ opinions on Lo Celso had he decided to remain with the club during this international break and fight for his place.
