Leeds United fans have been reacting to claims surrounding Boubacar Kamara and a potential swoop in the January transfer window.

According to a report in The Daily Mail, Leeds are one of the sides showing an interest in the French midfielder and have already spoken to his agent over a potential move to the Premier League.

Although, the report does also state that Manchester United and Aston Villa have done the same, while he is also being considered by Newcastle United, so it’s not a straight fight in order to get him, with his current club Marseille reportedly willing to offload him for £10m.

With Kalvin Phillips set to be out of action until March, defensive midfield is an area that Leeds United should be looking to address in the current window.

Who was sent off in his first game as captain?

Given how important Phillips has been to the Leeds United side, it’s not a certainty that someone like Kamara would be able to totally replace him in the side, but at least this would be better than just leaving things as they are right now, with Leeds not exactly in the best of form.

News of their interest was relayed by @Leeds_Xtra on Twitter for them to react to, where it generated some interesting responses, with fans seemingly mixed on the idea of him coming to Elland Road:

“Thought this was a dead end but looks like we are back in the chase.”
“Would obviously be a ridiculously good signing but far too good to be true, can’t believe that he’d be available for that, his contract up?”
“Do it, do it, do it, do it”
“A classic career mode purchase for me, i approve”
“I’ll believe it when I see it”
“He’s decent.”

With just a week to go until the window closes, Leeds have to make their mind up soon as to whether or not they will pull the trigger and make the deal happen.
