A number of Leeds United fans have been left both surprised and angered after hearing that Cody Drameh could be set for a loan move away in the January transfer market.

Much has been made about the club’s injury issues this season, and with a relatively small squad, Leeds supporters would have been hoping their team would grow in the winter window.

However, it looks as though they could be set to lose one player for the rest of the season. Indeed, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that the young right-back is set to join Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season – although Swansea City were also said to be interested in making a move for Drameh.

The transfer expert shared this news on Twitter, while adding that several Premier League clubs are monitoring Drameh’s progress, and it soon had many Leeds supporters expressing their concerns.

Here’s what these Leeds fans said…

“This feels reckless given current injuries.”
“Some sort of joke, more injuries than available player yet we’re still bringing no one in and moving players on?”
“Do not understand this at all we now have only 1 actual right back at the club.”
“Oh no.”
“This is actually so so stupid, we are setting records for injuries and we are letting people go, kmt.”
“This isn’t the Leeds news I wanted Fabrizio.”

It’s clear to see from these comments just how unhappy these supporters are to hear the update. Even though he is still quite young, at just 20 years of age, the defender has been called up more regularly in recent times.

Despite Romano’s claim, this deal is yet to be finalised, but it does look as though he could be set to leave Leeds soon.
