Fabrizio Romano has been speaking on his YouTube channel about Crystal Palace’s interest in potentially signing Donny van de Beek this month.

Reports have emerged recently that the south London side have shown an interest in the Manchester United midfielder with less than a week remaining in the window.

Do you want Van de Beek at Palace?

The Dutchman has been previously linked with a potential move north to Newcastle United, however, it is believed the midfielder rejected the opportunity to join the struggling Magpies.

With just a few days remaining in the January window, Palace are yet to open their account, but Romano had the following to say on whether Van de Beek could be a possible arrival at Selhurst Park:

“Keep an eye on two clubs: Crystal Palace – I am told that they are really interested in Donny van de Beek. Could be a good possibility with Patrick Vieira, who knows so well midfielders.

“And Valencia in Spain – both clubs have interest in Donny van de Beek. Let’s see what he will decide together with his agents, but there are these two proposals and now it’s time for Donny to decide, but also for Man United and Ralf Rangnick to take a final decision on these straight loan potential moves.”

TIF Thoughts on Van de Beek to Palace…

The Dutchman has had huge issues at Old Trafford having failed to start a single game this season in the Premier League and has just 68 minutes of league action to his name (via Transfermarkt).

However, Conor Gallagher’s impressive start to the season does have us slightly concerned as to how the 24-year-old would fare at Selhurst Park if a move was to develop.

Looking back at his time with Ajax, Van de Beek played predominantly in an attack-minded midfield position and we just wonder whether his arrival could have an effect on Gallagher’s form in front of goal with another attacking option to compete against.
