Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to vent their anger at the latest comments to emerge from Jamie Redknapp following the clash in north London on Sunday.

Dele Alli started his first Premier League game under Antonio Conte and lasted 81 minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before being substituted.

And after the game, the Sky Sports pundit hailed the 25-year-old for his display as the Lilywhites edged closer to a spot in the Champions League places: “ I thought he (Dele Alli) was exceptional today,” said Redknapp on Sky Sports (via The Spurs Express).

The Englishman had previously started under Conte in the Europa Conference League but was hooked off shortly after the interval and on the back of Redknapp’s glowing verdict, these fans shared their thoughts.

What did these fans have to say?

“Literally cost us the game”

“And this shows why Jamie shouldn’t be a pundit. Alli and winks were both average but we’re so used to them not even putting in the effort that when they do put a shift in they get proclaimed as exceptional. Average performances and we should expect this as a minimum from both.”
“He kinda didn’t watch the game then”
“Since when has he been positive about Spurs lol”
“the 5-3-2 system suits him, but his finishing has to improve again”
“Sigh should’ve bagged’
“Insane how some of you can’t drop your agenda. Dele balled today. Missed two chances but who didn’t? Everyone out there put in a shift. Dele created a lot and got those defenders on their heels trying to defend him. Made Trent look like Hector Bellerin.”

Over the last few seasons, the Spurs midfielder has seen his game time dwindle under the various managers who have come and gone with just 617 league minutes to his name last season.

Although the Englishman played the large majority of the game, it seems the missed on-on-one opportunity in the first half left a bitter taste in the mouth of these Spurs fans.
