Celtic fans will have been disappointed to have dropped into the Europa Conference League after failing to make it out of a tough Europa League group.
There was still good news for Kyogo Furuhashi who won UEFA’s Goal of the Group Stage for his strike against Ferencvaros at Celtic Park. Obviously the priority for the Hoops was to qualify for the knockout stages, but at least there was a silver lining with Furuhashi’s award.

It’s clear for all to see how happy the Hoops fans are for Furuhashi, he has quickly become a fan favourite in Scotland, not a surprise when you look at his performances.

He has turned out on 24 occasions for Celtic so far this season in all competitions, managing to hit the back of the net an impressive 14 times and laying five goals on for his teammates too.
Given this is his first season in Scottish football, he’s certainly adapted quickly after his move from his native Japan at the start of the season.
