A whole host of Newcastle United fans have reacted negatively on Twitter following this latest fixture change.

Newcastle United kick-started a run of very difficult results last Sunday when they were humbled 4-0 and then on Thursday evening they went down 3-1 against Liverpool but did manage to keep the score down and take the lead.

Have you been impressed by Eddie Howe?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

Their fixtures do not get any easier though with the Premier League champions Manchester City travel to St James’ Park on Sunday, although there has been a slight change with the match now switching from a 2:15 PM kick-off to a 2 PM kick-off, which will likely impact how people get to the match and other travel arrangements.

A lot of Newcastle fans on Twitter are fuming following this club update.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

“This sums up modern day football..the other week trains to London were delayed due to the storms meaning most Newcastle fans missed kick off. They refused to delay kick off by 15 minutes to allow fans to get there! But they can move it forward last minute for TV reasons??””

@jlews87

“But they didn’t change it for those NUFC fans who struggled to make the Arsenal game. Wow.”

@jjNUFC

“The game’s gone, lads.”

@GeordieLegend2

“But they couldn’t change it when fans couldn’t get to the Arsenal game? Money first as always”

@owen_h180

“Disgusting! Another time change. It might only be 15 minutes but just confirms what Sky & other broadcasters think of match going fans quite happy to change it at a drop of the hat!!”

@pbrowndday

“Got disaster written all over it with covid checks thrown in like. Ah well fun day out.”

@XrpNufcFanRich

It’s clear that these Newcastle fans aren’t happy with this being changed at such short notice, mainly as many fans missed a lot of their match against Arsenal earlier in the season when storm Arnew made their trip down to London a lot more difficult and delays caused travel chaos, but the kick-ff was not changed to accommodate that.
