A large number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a claim to emerge on Twitter suggesting Harry Winks will not leave the club in the January transfer window.

According to journalist Dan Kilpatrick, it is now ‘very unlikely’ the 25-year-old midfielder will depart next month despite recent suggestions.

It has been reported in recent weeks that Newcastle United were eyeing up a potential January swoop for the Englishman, who was not enjoying much football in north London.

However, since Antonio Conte has arrived, Winks has featured more regularly – but these fans shared their thoughts on the future of the Hemel Hempstead-born ace.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Confirmation of no top 4 and no trophy this season.”

“I swear we will never learn”
“This upsets me”
“He should go”
“How does this fraud keep clinging on”
“NOOOOOOOO”

The Englishman was even linked with a move away in the summer, but it is believed a potential departure did not materialise due to Tottenham’s high valuation of the midfielder.

Winks has just one assist to his name this season across all competitions, so these reactions are not overly surprising despite showing some brighter displays in recent weeks.
