Speaking on his latest YouTube video, Tottenham Hotspur correspondent Alasdair Gold has been discussing a touchline moment he noticed involving Tanguy Ndombele in their recent Premier League clash.
The Frenchman marked his first Premier League start under Antonio Conte on Sunday as the Lilywhites held title-chasing Liverpool to a point.

However, the 24-year-old was withdrawn shortly after the hour mark for Oliver Skipp, and Gold claims the midfielder sulked his way off the pitch and onto the bench.
Ndombele has had a turbulent 2021/22 campaign so far, with rumours over his future hampering his place in the team at the start of the season, which has seen him struggle to work his way back into first-team contention.
And with the January transfer window quickly approaching, Gold had the following to say on what he deduced from the midfielder’s demeanour after being substituted compared to when Dele Alli was hauled off himself:
“We’ll have to see how Tanguy works, and how he adapts to Conte and what he wants. He was the one that obviously got subbed first, it was about an hour in; he didn’t look happy.
“You could contrast the two ways they came off. When Tanguy came off, he walked off at the speed of slug, honestly, it was so painfully slow. Whereas when Dele [Alli] got taken off, he sprinted off the pitch in order to get Lucas [Moura] on it. And I thought that was really interesting.”

The Frenchman’s time at Tottenham really has not lived up to the hefty price tag with which the Lilywhites had to part with in order to acquire him from Lyon.
Spurs shattered their transfer record fee to bring in the 24-year-old and in return, they have received a player who can barely manage to hold his spot in the starting XI.
Ndombele has made it abundantly clear he did not want to remain a Spurs player over the summer and, to us, there has been no signs he is making any strides to save his career in north London.
Given what he cost Spurs and the fact he has a few years left on his contract, we feel Spurs could retain a lot of the £54m spent on Ndombele. However, would this be a possibility for the January window?
