A large number of Celtic fans have flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the recent comments to emerge from Cameron Carter-Vickers on his Parkhead future.

The American centre-back is currently spending the season in Glasgow from his parent club Tottenham Hotspur and has featured prominently so far in this campaign.

With 22 appearances across all competitions already to his name for the Hoops, the 23-year-old addressed what lies ahead of him for the future: “I’m enjoying my time up there and it is all going well but I think like you said, I think it is a bit too early,” he told TalkSport’s Jim White (via The Sun).

He continued: “It’s not fully down to me as well. So it’s obviously discussions that will have to be had at the end of the season.”

Having provided two goals and an assist in the Scottish Premiership this season, these fans flocked to Twitter to voice their delight at the defender claiming to be enjoying his time at Parkhead.

What did these Celtic fans have to say?

“I will personally start a gofundme to get him up the road permanently, sent everything back that came his way and helped out Starfelt who had an off day.”

“second sentence shows he’s keen for an extension surely”
“The type of centre half we’ve been needing for years.”
‘Big man’s a rock in there hopefully something can be agreed to get him signed up”
“Would love him to stay but he’s probably gonna fancy a move back south”
“Gut feel it will come down to champions League qualification and perhaps rightly so”

The American’s contract at Spurs entered its final year in the summer, however, the Lilywhites tied him down to an extra year, meaning he will not be a free agent come the end of his spell at Celtic.

Having spent the last five years of his career out on loan at various clubs, it seems these fans are hoping the American will become a regular fixture at Parkhead with a potential permanent deal.
