Newcastle United’s hectic transfer rumour mill just keeps churning out new rumours non-stop. The latest duo linked with a move to Tyneside in January are Boubacar Kamara and Tosin Adarabioyo.

It’s certainly set to be a busy January transfer window for the Magpies – with almost unlimited funds given the wealth of their owners, anything is possible for the Toon Army.

Eddie Howe and his management team will be drawing up a list of targets, with Kamara and Adarabioyo the latest to be linked with the Tynesiders. While the fans were absolutely delighted with links to Kamara, Fulham’s Adarabioyo didn’t get as much excitement.

When NUFC360 relayed the news to supporters, plenty registered their glee over seeing their club being linked with the “amazing” duo. Here’s a flavour of the fan reaction:

How these Newcastle fans reacted

“Kamara, yes please.” @agbnufc_

“Kamara is a good signing but Tosin not up to the level. Got relegated with Fulham.” @Lucky16538099

“Kamara would be an amazing signing.” @hugoagogo_

“Get the deals agreed/confirmed NOW so they walk through the door on January 2nd!! Use the FA Cup match as their warm-up match…” @Christo66733491

“Both players would be upgrades on what we currently have.” @eddygraham39

“Get them in.” @themurph36

On paper, Kamara certainly looks like he’d be a ridiculously good signing for Howe’s side. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has played 14 of Marseille’s 17 league games this season as they sit second in the table behind runaway leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

A favourite of his manager Jorge Sampaoli, the France under-21 international has a passing success rate of 89.8% in Ligue 1 this season. No Newcastle player to have started a Premier League match in 2021/22 can better that return.

Adarabioyo has been important to Fulham’s promotion charge so far. Suspension aside, he has played every game in the Championship this season bar one, where he stayed on the bench.

The 24-year-old has won 2.7 headers per league game for the Cottagers, an average bettered only by Jamaal Lascelles and Joelinton in Howe’s squad, so he too could be a sturdy addition if Newcastle can land him.
