A whole host of Sheffield Wednesday fans are furious on Twitter to see their potential FA Cup Round Two match will now be broadcast on ITV.

The Owls had been experiencing an inconsistent season up until recently as Darren Moore may well have turned the ship around having gone unbeaten in their last six matches in League One, which included a 3-0 demolition of promotion chasers Sunderland.

Will Sheffield Wednesday come back up?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

They were handed something of a reality check recently when Plymouth Argyle held them to a 0-0 draw at home in the FA Cup, which means a replay at Argyle’s home ground is required – and whoever wins that will face either Rochdale or Notts County on Sunday, 5th December at 12.15pm.

This news has seen some Wednesday fans become very annoyed on Twitter.

What have these Sheffield Wednesday fans had to say?

“Crikey, it’s like we’re the Man U of the early rounds”

@MattHarris6

“Another weekend ruined.”

@Blyth35

“Oh fantastic, so itv ruined the first round and have decided to do the same again.”

@nottsowls

“Will ruin the day. Cheers itv”

@lbswfc87

“Knock us out immediately”

@teddyatswfc

“If we lose ours and Rochdale win their replay, how big is that round trip duration figure going to be that Plymouth fans come up with?”

An easy one to kick off our quiz on the 2020 summer transfer window in the EFL, which player left Birmingham City to join Borussia Dortmund?

A replay in the FA Cup is not something that Moore will have wanted given the club’s already hectic schedule coming up, with fixtures in the league, Papa John’s Trophy and FA Cup set to thoroughly test the depth of his squad, but these fans don’t seem too bothered if they are knocked out by Plymouth given the rescheduling of the game in the next round is a midday kick-off on a Sunday.
