Celtic fans were left purring by the performances of Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi, as a brace each for the forwards helped the Hoops to a 4-2 victory against Dundee.

The pair have been in unbelievable form all season, with fans pressuring Celtic to make Jota’s move permanent. The Portuguese is currently on loan from Benfica.

The goals made it five wins from five on the road for Ange Postecoglou’s side, who closed the gap to just one point behind Rangers with the victory.

It was a professional performance from Celtic, who scored twice in the first five minutes of the second half to put the game beyond Dundee, going 4-1 ahead. Lee Ashcroft’s goal 67 minutes in for the hosts was merely a consolation.

Jota has been leaving the fans in awe with his scintillating performances, quickly becoming a fan favourite.

How Celtic fans reacted to Jota’s brace

“All I want for Christmas is Jota signed up.” @CelticGossip

“Magical again. Get in. Ange doing fantastic.” @JayHarkin1

“That BHOY is class, a joy to watch… Keep him for a long time please.” @agnes1888

“Statue now or I’ll build it myself.” @LennieMcStay11

“Name something more inevitable than Jota and Kyogo, you cannot.” @eirethom

“Ah you #Jota have faith!!!!! Well done that Bhoy!!!!!” @nwiggins02

If they’re able to make the deal permanent, it will be a vital step if they are going to challenge for the title this season. As yet more defensive worries crept into the Hoops’ game this afternoon. A 4-2 win over Dundee, but two goals they could have avoided easily.

I think it’s a fair assumption that nearly all Celtic fans would do anything to see Jota’s move made permanent.
