Celtic fans have been reacting to footage of Kyogo Furuhashi that has emerged from their Europa League game against Ferencváros.

The game in midweek was always going to be a crucial one for Ange Postecoglou’s side, having lost their first two games in the group stage, however, with their back-to-back wins against the Hungarian side, they now have given themselves a fighting chance to qualify out of Group G and into the knockout stages of the competition.

Part of their success last night was down to the Japanese forward, who got proceedings rolling with a goal inside the opening three minutes for the Bhoys that put them on their way to victory, as he received the ball from Liel Abada before twisting and turning inside the box and firing low past the goalkeeper to score his 11th goal of the season.

Footage of the goal was posted online by BT Sport, and it’s fair to say that it left a large number of Celtic supporters rather jubilant as they piled on the praise for the 26-year-old:

“What a finish!”

“Doing his thing”
“I love him more with every passing day”
“The absolute GOAT”
“The Next Larsson but He’s Gonna Be the first Kyogo. I love”
“Best player in Scotland by a mile”

Having signed for a reported £4.6m this summer, he certainly is proving to be a bargain for Celtic this season, but goals like this could end up meaning so much more if they lead to something bigger down the line for the club.
