Tottenham Hotspur fans have been drawn to footage on Twitter of Antonio Conte’s first post-game interview following their Europa Conference League victory over Vitesse on Thursday night.
Spurs scraped all three points in north London on Thursday after taking an early three-goal lead before quickly conceding twice to give the Dutch side hope of turning the scoreline on its head.

However, Spurs prevailed in the end, in a game that saw Cristian Romero sent off as well as two Vitesse players. Speaking about the game, Conte had the following to say:
“It was a crazy, crazy game. Usually, I don’t like this type of game. A crazy game means that anything can happen, but at the same time I think we should win and we won.”
Tottenham fans flocked to a tweet from Hotspur Related relaying the footage from the BT Sport account as they shared their thoughts on his comments.

Next up for Conte’s side is a trip to the blue half of Merseyside as Rafael Benitez’s Everton look to turn around their recent poor form after a draw and three consecutive defeats.
It is not surprising these Spurs fans believe Conte may have been left shocked by Thursday’s ‘crazy game’, however, it did highlight the side’s defensive deficiencies given they have already conceded 16 league goals this season.
