A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flooded to Twitter to vent their frustrations with the latest transfer claim to emerge regarding their goalkeeping situation.

According to The Telegraph, Antonio Conte is eyeing up Everton’s Jordan Pickford as a potential successor for Hugo Lloris at the north London club.

Would Pickford be a good Lloris replacement?

Current Spurs number-one Lloris is now playing into the final year of his current deal with the Lilywhites, which is set to expire at the end of June.

However, Mike McGrath also suggests it is still a possibility the French captain could still sign a new deal with Spurs, but Pickford is viewed as a long-term option.

Spurs fans flocked to Twitter as McGrath’s story broke and they voiced their concerns and anger towards the idea of Spurs replacing Lloris with the current England goalkeeper.

What did these Spurs fans have to say?

“Definitely fake news. This keeper is shocking”

“Contr out”
“Surely not”
“liquidate this club”
“we’re so finished”
““replace Hugo Lloris” Pain.”

Pickford’s last Premier League outing before the international break ironically came against Spurs, where the 27-year-old was able to keep a clean sheet – albeit with Spurs registering no shots on target.

And it seems these Spurs fans are not keen on the idea of signing a goalkeeper who has conceded 62 more league goals than Lloris since the start of the 2017/18 campaign.
