Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have voiced their anger after the game against Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night at the performance of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
The Danish international played 87 minutes in the 3-2 victory over the Dutch outfit after being replaced with Giovani Lo Celso late on in the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Is Hojbjerg good enough for Spurs?
Hojbjerg has had a huge role in the Tottenham side since joining in the summer of 2020, having played every minute of every Premier League game since the start of the 2020/21 campaign (via Transfermarkt).
However, Spurs fans were clearly left far from impressed with the 26-year-old’s display on Thursday night as they shared their frustrations on Twitter.
What did these Spurs fans have to say?
“hojbjerg’s decision making has been near diabolical recently”
There have been some reports to emerge since Antonio Conte’s arrival suggesting the 26-year-old could be in danger of being sold alongside Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp.
We are a little surprised at the backlash the Dane received following the game. However, the defensive midfielder has been a prominent part of a Spurs side that has already conceded 25 goals across all competitions this season (via Transfermarkt).
