Many Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to react to the display of Oliver Skipp in Antonio Conte’s first game in charge in the Premier League of the Lilywhites during their goalless draw against Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.

Ahead of the clash against the Toffees, the BBC (via the Spurs Web) revealed that Tottenham have won 27 Premier League games against Everton, more than against any other side while the Lilywhites were also unbeaten on their last eight top-flight visits to Goodison Park.

However, Spurs were unable to secure three points in Antonio Conte’s first Premier League game in charge of the north London club on Sunday afternoon after their stalemate against the Toffees, meaning Conte’s side remain in ninth position in the league table.

However, one player who, according to fans at home, produced a strong performance against Everton was midfielder Oliver Skipp. The former Norwich man, lining up in a two man central midfield alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in Conte’s 3-4-3 formation, was combative throughout against Everton’s midfield counterparts Allan and Fabian Delph and was instrumental for his side in claiming what could prove to be an invaluable point.

What did Spurs fans say about Skipp’s performance vs Everton?

“Oliver Skipp and Cristian Romero I love you”

@bigboihariz

“Oliver Skipp was excellent. If one of Hojbjerg/Skipp is replaced in January, it certainly should not be him”

@mitch_fretton

“The freedom for Romero and Davies to drift forward and contribute to chance creation seems to suit them well; Romero is a ball player while Davies is a full back by trade. On a side note: Oliver Skipp is a fantastic player, Matt Doherty is dreadful”

@SpursChatN17

“Oliver Skipp was absolutely everywhere today”

@TheSpursExpress

“Yet again showing up Hojbjerg”

@josh_wiggan

“By far our best player this season with Hugo and slowly Emerson climbing up there”

@shalaby_bido
