A whole host of Newcastle United fans are very happy on Twitter to find out this latest team news update.

Newcastle switched to a back four against Arsenal on Saturday, but that failed to bring about their first win of the season. And for the third game in a row, Eddie Howe may opt for a different formation or tactics, as he is set to make more changes.

This week sees the Magpies welcome two fellow relegation candidates to St. James’ Park, but their first encounter this midweek against Norwich City will see them be without captain Jamaal Lascelles and the previously ever-present Matt Ritchie, who are suspended.

Do Newcastle need a director of football?

No!

A lot of Newcastle fans on Twitter are happy that the two players will be absent following Howe’s pre-match comments.

What have these Newcastle fans been saying?

“Advantage Newcastle”

@nufctom_

“Blessing in disguise.”

@JhusBLaze

“Big misses? Don’t make me laff”

@David4NUFC

“They won’t be big misses Eddie, don’t you worry. They’re blessings in disguise.”

@allyandthecavs

“I couldn’t be more happy with those 2 being suspended”

@Seanmcgowan1992

“Great news, now if we could get Krafth suspended too things would really be looking up…..”

@Cans1982

“I don’t think they will. Both been liabilities this season”

@olliemaxwell14

“Not really. Both useless”

@zzDREADNOUGHTzz

It’s clear to see that these Newcastle fans don’t quite agree with Howe, who claimed that the duo are going to be ‘big misses‘ for the clash against Norwich – and it’s no surprise given they are still yet to keep a clean sheet in the league, so the defence may need to be freshened up in order to improve.
