Plenty of Leeds United fans have reacted online after seeing journalist Phil Hay outline some key issues within the squad.

Over the weekend, Marcelo Bielsa’s men were lucky to come away with a point as Brighton and Hove Albion hit the post on three different occasions in a 0-0 draw.

Ahead of, and during, the game, the Argentinian manager wrestled with his tactics, making a number of different positional and individual changes.

“Hay explained in a tweet: Phillips at CB. Phillips to CDM. Phillips subbed. Dallas at CM and then RB. Firpo at LB and then subbed. James up front, James on the left, James switching to the right. You could see the frustration in Bielsa’s body language. Not working.”

Will Marcelo Bielsa be Leeds manager next season?

He went into more detail in an article for The Athletic, where he claimed ‘Bielsa’s touch with tactical decisions is no longer so Midas’.

After he shared the article on social media, a collection of supporters weighed in on the debate.

Here’s what the Leeds fans had to say…

“Bielsa has the incredibly annoying habit, similar to Pep, of overthinking games against teams who have beaten them before, and as a result we were a man short in every situation across the whole pitch.”

“@ConorMcGilligxn says it all. Like you say round pegs in square holes”
“His tactics were awful. Struijk should of started at LB. I’d of left Rodrigo out n gave bates or Klich a run out. Dropping Gelhardt was criminal.”
“Sadly this is unnecessarily complicated. Apart from Dallas who can play the utility role really well the rest of the players should stick to their specialised position. Also only one of Harrison and James can play.”
“He’s paid big bucks to solve these issues, he’s scoring an F this season so far, needs to up his game.”
“Stop being stubborn, stop worrying about what the club are spending and just bring in quality signings! stop thinking mediocre players are going to cut it after they’ve done nothing in 3 seasons trying the same thing expecting different results.”
“I’m worried.”
