Many international football fans have been reacting to the performance of Leeds United star Dan James during Wales’ game against Belarus in World Cup Qualifying.

Ahead of the game, The Dragons were hoping to move above the Czech Republic into second place in Group E with a victory, while Belarus were intent on moving off the foot of the table.

With Page’s side ultimately winning 5-1, one player who produced a poor performance was Leeds winger James, who struggled to impose himself on proceedings and provide attacking threat to the Belarus defence.

Subsequently, many fans have taken to Twitter to slam the performance of the former Manchester United and Swansea City player.

Should Leeds have signed Dan James?

What did Spurs fans think of Dan James’ display vs Belarus?

“Dan James is so close to being a really good player !!! Maybe it’s a project of Bielsa to turn him into that player. Gets into some great positions but…..”

“Nico and Connor are better wingers than Dan James. He’s awful”

“Wales much more effective from left with Nico than Dan James, he wants too many touches”

“Dan James might even be worse than Raheem Sterling”
“Mind blowing that Dan James is a professional footballer”
“Dan James is the Welsh Raheem Sterling”
“Dan James boils my blood so much, he is constantly providing nothing”

Following his summer move from Manchester United, it’s fair to say things haven’t exactly panned out as well for James at Elland Road.

Marcelo Bielsa will be desperately hoping that his summer signing can return to form and really kick into gear heading into the winter schedule in the Premier League.
