A whole host of West Brom fans are furious on Twitter with Valerien Ismael’s latest comments.

The Baggies scraped a 1-0 win against Hull City at The Hawthorns on Wednesday evening and although that now puts West Brom on a four-game winning streak at home, to only put one past a side who are sitting in the bottom three may have been seen as a disappointment for some fans.

Do you think Sam Johnstone will depart West Brom in Janaury?

Yes

No

That was not the case for Ismael, as the manager spoke to the club’s media channel, saying: ‘It was exactly what we want‘, and although winning is everything as they look to keep up with Fulham and Bournemouth, some fans appear to be wanting more from their team.

A lot of West Brom fans are not happy on Twitter with Ismael’s post-match comments.

What have these West Brom fans had to say?

“Starting to quite dislike this chap. He’s either completely deluded or just chatting pure lies to make our performances seem better. Just come out and say we weren’t good enough today man it’s not hard”

@BogsAIf

“Philosophy man’s head is well and truly scrambled”

@Rondxnn

“Against a newly promoted Hull City from League One and we only scrape 1 goal against them yeah we won I get that but we won with a poor performance as per usual. Taylor Gardner Hickman was outstanding tonight. I know he was only there to fill in for Furlong but he deserves more!.”

@thefuzzzyone

“how can he say that without laughing”

@maxutfa

“We were pony”

@Marty_Duffy

“poor game management today as usual”

@jpriv78982

Although these West Brom fans aren’t happy with Ismael’s comments after the win, they should look at the bigger picture as they’ve closed the gap on table-toppers Bournemouth as the Cherries dropped points against Preston North End.

Despite Hull occupying a spot in the bottom three, their last four defeats have only been by a single goal, so they’re clearly tightening up at the back and appear a tough team to break down.
