A whole host of Sheffield United fans are furious on Twitter as Slavisa Jokanovic has dropped some injury news regarding Adlene Guedioura.
The Algerian midfielder was signed by Jokanovic over the summer as a free agent having previously worked with Guedioura during the pair’s time together at Watford, but it has been a less than marvellous start to his life at Bramall Lane as he’s yet to start a game in the Championship thus far.

Given Guedioura’s age and that his last club was Al-Gharafa SC in Qatar, it was a slightly left-field signing by the Blades, even if he was on a free. Now, some fans are even more annoyed because the 35-year old has had to have an operation on his ankle which will keep him out for eight weeks.

Considering how many games you are required to play in the Championship and that it’s usually at least two games a week, bringing in someone who’s pushing 40 years of age and has spent the last two seasons in Qatar was a tough signing to justify from the beginning, and this latest injury will make it even more difficult.
