Many Sheffield United fans have been left wowed after Regan Slater scored an impressive goal for the club’s under-23 team recently.
In their last outing, the Blades youngsters faced Sheffield Wednesday’s academy side at Bramall Lane and cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory.
Goals from Slater, Frankie Maguire and Angelo Cappello were enough to settle the affair, but it seems that one moment from the game really caught the eye.
Indeed, the club’s official Twitter account shared footage of Slater scoring his goal – an expertly placed volley – and it soon had supporters excitedly discussing the talented player.
Here’s what these Sheffield United fans had to say…
“Bagsman.”
“My word that’s good.”
It’s clear to see just how much these fans enjoyed the brilliant strike by Slater, with some thinking it proves he has the quality to make an impact for the senior side.
Will Sheffield United get promoted this season?
Yes
No
At that level, his chances have been limited, however. Indeed, at 22 years of age, he has just three appearances for the club’s first team (via Transfermarkt).
At one point during the summer, it did actually look as if he was going to make a move to Hull City. But with that deal collapsing on deadline day, perhaps his future as a Blade could still be set to eventually come good.
