A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to Twitter to share their anger at footage to emerge from their weekend defeat to their London rivals, West Ham United.

Spurs were denied a penalty in the first half of the game at the London Stadium after a coming together between Kurt Zouma and Tanguy Ndombele.

The incident went to VAR, however, it was decided no further action was needed from the referee Paul Tierney with the game tied at 0-0.

Tottenham fans flocked to Twitter to vent their anger with the decision made not to award Nuno Espirito Santo’s side with the opportunity to open the scoring from the penalty spot.

What did these fans have to say?

“How’s VAR not even sending that to the monitor. Games in the gutter”

“Still blows my mind we didn’t get a penalty for this”
“Embarrassing”
“Still baffled.”
“Absolutely baffling to me. What’s the point of VAR if it can’t pick these up? At least tell the ref to go take a look. It’s a CLEAR foul”
“It’s always us”

Spurs rested their full starting XI used on Sunday in their midweek Europa Conference League game but a lacklustre second-half display saw the Lilywhites miss out on the opportunity to climb into the top four.

Next up for Spurs is a Carabao Cup clash against Burnley on Wednesday and it seems these fans will be hoping for an instant bounce back after a disappointing derby defeat.
