Plenty of Celtic fans were quick to offer their thoughts on social media as they reacted to the performance of Josip Juranovic.

Taking on St Johnstone, Celtic found themselves a goal to the good at the break thanks to a goal from Giorgos Giakoumakis who made his first start for Celtic.

That was then followed up by a late penalty converted by another summer signing in Juranovic, who slotted home to wrap up a win for his side.

Ange Postecoglou will surely be encouraged by his side’s result as they kept up winning ways – and at the other end, Juranovic helped to keep a clean sheet in an unfamiliar left-back role.

Indeed, many Celtic fans were quick to take to social media as they took to Twitter to have their say on the first-half performance of Juranovic.

What have some Celtic fans been saying?

“Juranovic at least better than McGregor at taking penalties. Glad to see him back!”

@DefangedDevelon

“Can breathe easier at last.”

@seumasabheinn

“YASSSSS X2?”

@marcusgrahamm

“love you [referencing Juranovic]”

@katy_stewartxo

“Juranovic was my MOTM by a mile”

@jayden77966573

“Josip Juranovic is going to be a BIG player for us. So calm and composed, brings a real assurance to that backline. Just a real quality footballer.”

@stevieblock102

“Starfelt is good. Juranovic should end Ralston’s reign of terror. Kyogo should stay central. Send tweet”

@DeadByDylan

It’s been a commendable showing from Celtic who wrapped up a deserved three points against domestic opposition.

The result extends Celtic’s winning streak in all competitions too in an encouraging sign of a consistent streak developing under the auspices of Ange Postecoglou.
