Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the performance of Dane Scarlett whilst on international duty.
The 17-year-old has certainly taken big strides in his career recently. Having scored an impressive number of goals for the club’s academy side in 2020/21, he has managed to make inroads into the Spurs first team, with a handful of appearances domestically and in Europe.
And his displays have clearly managed to impress a number for the national setup as well, as he’s found himself a part of the England U19 side for their international games this season, already bagging himself goals against Italy and Germany before adding to that tally last night with two goals in England’s 3-2 defeat to their Belgian counterparts.
News of his performance was relayed to supporters by @Lilywhite_Rose on Twitter, where there were plenty of fans who were happy to hear of his progress on the international stage, with some suggesting that he should be given more of a role in the club’s senior team moving forward:

Given how bad Harry Kane has been in front of goal in the league this season, it’s certainly an understandable thought process for these fans to have, although asking him to lead the line in a Premier League game might be asking a bit too much of the youngster.
