A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are livid on Twitter with Steven Bergwijn’s display against Vitesse Arnhem.
Bergwijn was returning to Holland for the first time since he left Ajax for Tottenham Hotspur back in January 2020 for £27 million but he failed to add any goals to his four strikes when they faced Vitesse.

Nuno Espirito Santo fielded a much weaker team to the one that swept aside Newcastle United in the Premier League last weekend, but a lot of them failed to take their chances, including Bergwijn on the left wing.
A lot of Spurs fans have blasted Bergwijn on Twitter for his display against Vitesse.

It’s clear from these replies that some Spurs fans have seen enough of Bergwijn in a Tottenham shirt, however, his poor performance could be down to rustiness given it was his first game back from an injury which he picked up earlier on in the Europa Conference League.
