A whole host of Tottenham Hotspur fans are furious on Twitter with Pierluigi Gollini’s first-half performance.
Nuno Espirito Santo decided it was best to leave all the outfield players that beat Newcastle United 3-2 last Sunday back in England as they gear up for a London derby against West Ham, which meant a load of fringe players were handed a chance to shine against Vitesse Arnhem.

Someone who has featured in all cup competitions this season is backup keeper Gollini. The Italian is on loan for the season from Atalanta, but performances like the one against Vitesse won’t be convincing Spurs to keep him permanently.
A lot of Spurs fans have blasted Gollini’s performance on Twitter.

Judging by these Spurs fans’ reactions, they don’t hold much confidence in Gollini to even be an understudy to the ageing Hugo Lloris, who is set to be out of contract in the summer.
Spurs went into the break level with their Dutch opponents, which may have frustrated a lot of fans and the manager, as they need a positive result having only picked up a point away from home in the competition thus far.

Every single player out there tonight were absolute crap. Dele has got to go, if he can’t stand out as a top player amongst that lot he has no future with us. He has to be the laziest player I’ve ever watched. Lo Celso and Bergwijn should have run that game but they couldn’t even produce it against that lot, its the first time Vitesse have beaten an English side, that’s how bad they are. Gollini is a clown and Davies has no clue whatsoever. Not one player had a good game. They deserved to get beat.
It’s easy to criticise the keeper but our defending of the goal was school boyish? No one picking players up or attacking the ball ?
