A bunch Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to react to claims that the club could target Napoli and Senegal defender Kalidou Koulibaly in the January transfer window.
The claims came on Sunday (10/10/2021) from Football Insider, who claim that the experienced African bulwark will be the first marquee signing for Newcastle under fresh ownership.
The links with the 30-year-old former Metz man comes following the completion of a consortium takeover spearheaded by PCP Capital Partners.
The change in ownership has led Newcastle to become one of the richest clubs in the world due to their backing by the Saudi-owned Public Investment Fund (PIF), with a spending spree expected to follow.
