Many Leeds United fans have flocked to Twitter as they reacted to the performance of talismanic winger Raphinha for Brazil away on international duty.

The winger was in fine form for his country, with one fan sharing footage of Raphinha’s highlights in a Brazil shirt and lauded the £17m fee that Leeds paid for him as a bargain.

The attacker Raphinha helped Brazil to fight back to a 3-1 win over Venezuela after coming off the bench for his international debut, setting up two goals for his teammates in the process in a debut to remember.

Who was Bielsa's first competitive game as Leeds manager against?

Following on from Raphinha’s starring role for Brazil, Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on their star man’s performance.

What did these Leeds fans think?

Unbelievable signing. Sadly I can’t see us hanging onto him after the end of this season. Now playing for Brazil he’s only going to enhance his reputation & the vultures come circling.”

We need a striker with a bit more of a brain I feel at times, hoping we invest strongly on a top quality striker! I love bamford but it will ultimately won’t last forever”

@StewMasters

These players like raphina and phillips are irreplaceable to us no matter how much we rake in”

@AlanLovesLeeds

The question is can we get anyone like him and KV? Why must we sell our Crown Jewels ? It is not like we are hard up for money like during our painful financial meltdown years, when the EPL clubs could simply bully us.”

@AlamLufc

He’s a #gamechanger

@billjames

“Another Raphinha assist. Came on and completely changed the game. 2x assists on his Brazil debut, unreal.”

@JTooker97

Bielsa’s side next take on Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium next weekend when the Premier League returns following the international break, and Leeds fans will be praying that Raphinha can spearhead a charge to rebuild momentum in the domestic league.
