The report states the Tyneside club will have the ability to spend due to Mike Ashley’s unwillingness to splash the cash during his tenure at the club.

Toon fans flocked to the tweet from NUFC 360 relaying The Telegraph’s claims as they shared their absolute delight and excitement at the idea of having money to spend in the transfer window.

What did these Newcastle fans have to say?

“Hahaha, it’s all falling into place”

“Actually mental”
“Winning the league”
“Thus is dreamland stuff this like! I still can’t believe all this! What a time to be a Mag.”
“Pinch me!”
“Mike Ashley masterclass”

Away from the delight off the field, Steve Bruce’s side currently sit in the bottom three and without a win to their name in the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur next up for the Toon.

However, it seems the club’s shocking start to the season has been given a glimmer of hope with the new regime coming in and with the ability to spend in the January transfer window.
