A lot of Newcastle United fans have flocked to Twitter to voice their thoughts on the latest managerial claim to emerge in their search to replace Steve Bruce.
According to Christian Falk, former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre is now the favourite to become the new man on the touchline at St. James’ Park.

The tweet from the German football journalist also stated that Marc Overmars was one of the candidates for the position of Newcastle’s director of football.
Newcastle fans flooded to the German’s tweet relaying his claims as they shared their joy at being linked with the former Dortmund man as a potential candidate for the managerial vacancy.

Having sacked Steve Bruce last week, a number of names have been linked with the vacancy at the Toon and one of the names believed to have held talks with the owners is Paulo Fonseca.
The Toon currently have their former assistant manager, Graeme Jones, in charge and it is understood he will be on the sideline for at least the next game which comes at home to Chelsea on the weekend.
