Sheffield Wednesday fans have been reacting to the performance of Bailey Peacock-Farrell on international duty.

The Northern Irish international has certainly found a home at Hillsborough. Having found regular football hard to come by in recent seasons, he has made a good impression since signing for Sheffield Wednesday on loan.

He’s kept five clean sheets in all competitions for The Owls so far this season and it was recently announced that he’d picked up the club’s Player of the Month award for August, but those good performances haven’t just been restricted to club level, it would seem.

Who scored the opening goal in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Leeds United at Anfield in September?

The 24-year-old kept another clean sheet last night and saved a penalty in the process as his side drew 0-0 with Switzerland at Windsor Park.

And when the club relayed a tweet from the Northern Ireland Twitter account about him saving the spot-kick, there were plenty of fans on hand to show their love for their loanee, with some hoping that the club will be able to sign him permanently down the road:

“Who was it said I was jumping the gun when I suggested BPF was going to be world-class???”

“Kieran who? BPF is the future. Top class young keeper WAWAW”
“Get that cheque book out Mr Chansiri and give @BurnleyOfficial whatever they want, what a keep”
“Sign him whatever the cost”
“What a man”
“Another 39 games of this”

Although if Peacock-Farrell keeps performing like this, they may be lucky to get him back as there might be a club further up the food chain that could take an interest in him.
