A lot of Celtic fans appear to be annoyed on Twitter with James McCarthy’s performance for Celtic.
Celtic travelled to Livingston on Sunday looking to make it back to back victories in the SPFL but after going down 1-0 in the first half thanks to an Andrew Shinnie strike, the Bhoys appeared to be stunned and their performance showed.

McCarthy, who was signed as a free agent having not renewed his contract at Selhurst Park and his first start was against Livingston but he only managed 72 minutes before being hooked off and a lot of Celtic fans felt it was not a great full debut for the midfielder.

It was the second game this week that McCarthy had played in having appeared off the bench during Celtic’s 4-3 defeat away to Real Betis on Thursday evening having previously only played 42 minutes all campaign.
McCarthy arrived at Celtic Park with a sizeable reputation having played for clubs such as Everton, Wigan Athletic and Crystal Palace in the Premier League, racking up 272 appearances in the competition but judging by the reactions on Twitter by many Celtic fans, McCarthy will have to step up his game in the coming weeks.
