Celtic fans have been reacting to a tweet sent by Odsonne Edouard surrounding his move to Crystal Palace.

Having been subject to plenty of speculation about his future this summer, with a number of clubs reportedly showing an interest in his services, it wasn’t until the final day of the window that the Frenchman was finally able to leave Celtic Park, as he agreed a £14m deal with English Premier League side Crystal Palace.

Although, given the sell-on fee that exists between Celtic and his former side Paris Saint-Germain, Ange Postecoglou’s men won’t be able to claim all of the transfer fee back. But it wasn’t the fee that has got Celtic fans angry, rather the Frenchman himself and his attitude as the deal was being completed.

He took to Twitter to confirm that he was on his way to Selhurst Park using the famous ‘Here We Go’ catchphrase used by noted journalist Fabrizio Romano, and it appeared to rub some Celtic fans up the wrong way:

“Disrespectful”

“Get a grip mate honestly”
“You ruined it”
“This hurts”
“No need to rub it in mate”
“Didn’t find that remotely amusing pal”

It’s not exactly the worst thing that a player can do, it’s not like he said anything particularly disparaging. Indeed, he made some nice comments about them earlier on in the night, so where the anger came from is a bit of a mystery.
