Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been reacting to the latest footage to emerge on social media of Lilywhites winger Steven Bergwijn.

This comes after Tottenham-based Twitter account @thespursweb shared a post on its page that contained footage, originally posted by the official European Qualifiers Twitter page, of Bergwijn in action during the Netherlands’ recent 4-0 win over Montenegro in their latest World Cup qualifying match.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The footage shows Bergwijn picking the ball up on the left wing before successfully nutmegging an opposition player before making a darting run towards the Montenegro goal.

This post then quickly caught the attention of a lot of Tottenham supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the player.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this latest footage of Bergwijn?

“He’s getting it back!”

@Waydnn

“Grealish who?”

@runningupthegil

“Getting a bit of confidence about him again”

@leefriend21

“This is what we know he’s capable of hope his confidence goes leaps and bounds this year because he’s a baller on his day.”

@Punkdude1981

“If he plays more like this and that run against Watford, and he’s still only 23, he can only get better”

@holder_leo

“What a player we have on our hands. For all those saying he is bad, remember even Son was bad in his 1st season. He will blast this season at the wings”

@Spursofficial_1

“Steven Bergwijn looks more confident than ever and this is going to be a very special season for him”

@ArdaCO6

“Be warned, Stevie is coming!!! “Play the Jaws theme”!!! He is going to be a star.”

@thfcchamps2023

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems as though these Spurs fans were impressed with what they saw from Bergwijn in this footage and are confident that he can go on and have a good season with the north London club.

Do you think Bergwijn can improve his game?

Yes

Yes

No

No

In our view, given how Bergwijn only managed to score one goal in 35 appearances across all competitions last season, we feel that the Dutchman has to start scoring regularly before being viewed as one of Spurs’ most important players and justifying these responding fans’ belief in him.
