Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a tweet following the latest comments to emerge from one of the north London club’s players.
Speaking to ESPN Brazil, Lucas Moura has been revealing his thoughts on not starting the 2019 Champions League final against Liverpool.
Should Lucas Moura have started the final?
The Brazilian scored a stunning hat-trick in the semi-final against Ajax to send the Lilywhites through to the final in Madrid – a game which he started on the bench.
“On the day of the game, in that last speech at the hotel, when we were already leaving and going to the stadium. Even the atmosphere was a little tense between the players, because no one understood anything,” Moura said.
“Yikes. Poch got this one wrong BUT had the result been the same, with Spurs not scoring, we’d have all been asking why he didn’t start Kane. It was a harder decision than it may have appeared. Just wasn’t to be #thfc“
