Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest post to emerge concerning Lilywhites winger Bryan Gil.
This comes after the official Tottenham Twitter account shared a post on its page revealing that Gil had been named as their Man of the Match for his performance in the club’s recent Carabao Cup victory over Wolves at Molineux in midweek.
In the caption to their post, the north London club said that this award was “fully deserved” for the Spaniard who played through the entire game.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Tottenham supporters who were not shy in airing their thoughts on the matter.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say in response to this post about Gil and his performance against Wolves?
“Something about this guy, I really do like him. Excited to see how he develops”
“Build him a statue please”
“Unreal baller, start him Sunday”
“He’s better than Gazza and Hoddle”
“Probably the most exciting thing about this season. He could be huge for us.”
Looking at the replies to this post, it’s clear to see that these Spurs fans were delighted with what they saw from Gil against Wolves and excited over what he could go on and do with the club in the future.
Taking into account how Football.London gave the 20-year-old a match rating of 7/10 for his “really promising display” against Wolves saying that he “worked his socks off”, it’s easy to see why Gil was named as their Man of the Match.
Would you like to see Gil start against Arsenal?
Moving forward, we feel that Gil’s performance against Wolves should definitely put him in contention to start in Spurs’ next Premier League match against Arsenal at the weekend to show if he can replicate the same sort of quality he showed in midweek.
