Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have been sharing their thoughts at a claim to emerge regarding the club’s wage bill following the summer transfer window. 

According to The Sun, Spurs have been able to shave off £39.48m from their annual wage bill following the sales and departures of a number of players this summer.

The report took into consideration 11 of the recognised departures from Spurs this summer with the individuals departing the north London club in a variety of ways.

The biggest departure wage-wise was Gareth Bale, who returned to Real Madrid following his season-long loan spell with the Lilywhites in the 2020/21 campaign.

Spurs fans flocked to a tweet from The Spurs Web relaying The Sun’s claim to share their thoughts at the savings made by their club over the course of the summer.

One of the main departures this summer from Tottenham was Serge Aurier, who terminated his contract by mutual consent after a summer of speculation surrounding his future.

Although this figure does not take into consideration the wages of the players who were signed this summer, it is apparent these Spurs fans were left delighted to see some of the wage space freed up by the numerous departures.
