Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Lilywhites defender Eric Dier and his latest performance in a Spurs shirt during their recent 3-0 defeat against Chelsea.

Goals from Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger secured the win for Thomas Tuchel’s side, leaving Spurs with their second consecutive 3-0 defeat following their loss against Crystal Palace last weekend.

During the match, it was Dier’s performance, in particular, that rubbed a number of Tottenham supporters up the wrong way, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on what they saw from him.

So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about Dier’s performance against Chelsea?

Taking into account how The Independent only gave the Englishman an overall match rating of 5/10 saying that he “faded into the background in the second half with his only meaningful touch being the deflection which gave Chelsea their second goal,” it’s easy to see why these Spurs fans on Twitter were so negative about him.

Moving forward, Dier will have to hope he can put this performance behind him and focus on improving his game or else he could find himself out of Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans.
